The first Student Symposium of UNESCO in Northern Greece!
The 1st Student Symposium of the Lyceum Network ASPnet of Central Macedonia will be organized on March, 6th & 7th 2015 for the first time in Northern Greece by the Lyceum of Schools Fryganioti, with seventeen public and private schools in Central Macedonia, Attica and the Hellenism from Cyprus, in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and the Greek Commission for UNESCO.
This symposium is special, as it offers the opportunity for the first time in high school students to participate in a symposium that is an institution now for Schools in Cyprus for thirty-seven years and for fifteen years for the schools of Athens.
The theme of the first symposium are:
"The Greek World Heritage Sites"
The aim of the symposium is to motivate students to participate in a constructive dialogue, through which will be presented all aspects of the relationship of young people with the monuments, the problems and challenges of maintenance, use and abuse of the most important monuments of our country.
Through this first symposium, we hope and wish to mobilize spiritual pupils and students, so that through reflection to develop cooperation and promote those values of Greek Culture, consistent with the principles and values of UNESCO. Finally, we hope that the principles of democratic dialogue, solidarity between people and cultures and the importance of knowledge will experience and will embrace young people during the two-day work of the symposium.
