Meeting of the International Confederation of Pontian Greeks in Thes / niki.
Saturday 12/20/2014 met the Board of DI.SY.PE chaired by Mr Parcharidis George. Discussed many issues and important decisions were taken. Among them:
a) Problems facing Hellenes Abroad with rapporteurs presidents of Federations abroad. To be informed of the issues-problems of Greeks Abroad, the bipartisan Committee for Hellenes Abroad chaired by MEP. Savvas Anastasiadis from which has already been requested appointment.
b) On the issue of Genocide unanimously voted the proposals 1) Adopt holiday for the day of May 19, ie to honor the 19th May by the state on the same day and not Sunday after the 19th of May 2) Production of film and documentary on Genocide the Greeks of Pontus.
c) Continue to the World Congress organized Genocide of the Greeks of Pontus in Thessaloniki in spring 2015
d) Require the Minister of Education to create office history of Pontic Greeks in Greek universities.
e) On the issue of the administration of the foundation Virgin Sumela booed intensely the new decision of the Holy Synod in which the institution becomes legal entities of public law legal person of private law. As for the above matter was decided to build the Pan-Pontian Federation of Greece with all its forces DI.SY.P.E in all the initiatives it intends to take on this issue.
