The Syrian mosaics
To MIET and the Museum of Byzantine Culture invite you to a lecture by Yota Asimakopoulou-Atzakas, Emeritus Professor of Archaeology at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Centre for Byzantine Research, entitled "The Syrian mosaics".
A general and concise shape of the art of ancient Syrian mosaics over the centuries, starting from the turn of the 1st to the 2nd century AD, will be presented with the help of rich visual material, the most important works from this period until the end of Late Antiquity.
