Lecture: "The mosaics of Syria"
MIET and the Museum of Byzantine Culture invite you to a lecture by Yota Asimakopoulou-Atzakas, Emeritus Professor of Archaeology at the Aristotle University, Centre for Byzantine Research, entitled "The mosaics of Syria."
In the speech a general and concise shape of the art of ancient Syrian mosaics over the centuries of their acne will be given. Starting from the turn of the 1st to the 2nd century AD, will be presented with the help of rich visual material, the most important works from this period until the end of Late Antiquity.
