Need for medications to Fourni, Antikythera, Hydra, Mount Athos
The clinic Social Mission of the Athens Medical Association and the Charity Organisation Mission of the Archdiocese of Athens continues the supply of medicines and medical materials and in the most remote part of our country.
Last week we sent medicines and medical material to the Regional Medical Furnace, the Monastery of Dionysiou Mount Athos, in the municipality of Hydra, the Nursing Home Zosimadon Ioannina, the Monastery Sina- God-trodden Mount St. Catherine, at the Centre of Creative Activities Muscat, but also to large families in all of Greece.
The Incurable Asylum is a charity and operates continuously since 1983 Treating 177 critically ill has no support from the state as a result there is a great need to provide pharmaceutical preparations. And in this case the Clinic Social Mission helped by sending the requested drugs.
Also we helped uninsured our clinic the patient by offering wheelchair.
Antikythera over the years leaving multipurpose clinic on the island led to a lack of medical instruments and also need transport trucks, belt fastening patient and defibrillator. And in this case the Clinic Social Mission by decision of the ISA Board decided to contribute successfully ensuring public health and across Greece.
The President of the ISA, Mr. George Patoulis said: "Our Clinic will continue its humanitarian work in order to meet the needs in the most inaccessible part of the country. We sent drugs to Fourni, on Mount Athos, in Hydra, in Ioannina, even on Mount Sinai. We care about Antikythera where an emergency incident demonstrated the tragic shortcomings of regional practice, we help large families throughout the country, but any charity that the state abandoned. As the government is unable to cover the uninsured our fellow citizens, we will stand helpers with the valuable help of volunteers the surgery and every Greek citizen that contributes giving a drug from the remanence, which will ease the pain of our fellow citizens uninsured. "
