Livemedia in Idomeni with Red Cross'
Livemedia contributes to transferring humanitarian aid by Greek Red Cross to Idomeni refugees arriving from Syria
Systematic and continuous is the humanitarian aid provided by the Hellenic Red Cross for refugees, at the customs post Idomeni Kilkis. Organized volunteer ranks and officials of the Regional Department HRC Thessaloniki gathered daily in front of the building at the Port and travel to ellinoskopiana border to be found alongside the refugees.
Following a decision of the President of the Greek Red Cross Mr. Antonis Avgerinos, the action will continue as long as you take the increased transit of refugees from our country.
Volunteers Department Thessaloniki carrying boxes with humanitarian aid and offer
bottled water, long-term food (biscuits, toast, croissants, etc.), baby milk, hygiene kits and medical supplies (gauze, bandages, trafmaplast, antiseptics), in collaboration with the Department of Local Red Cross Kilkis. They also provide first aid to those who need it.
The Erythrostafrites actively involved in refugee support process throughout their stay at the border station, in partnership with non-profit organizations, agencies and UNHCR for refugees.
