Food distribution to refugees in Victoria Square by the Hellenic Red Cross

On 1 March staff and volunteers from the Social Welfare Department and the Samaritan Rescuers of the Hellenic Red Cross distributed food and water (500 sandwiches and 1,500 bottles of water 500 ml) to refugees and immigrants who have found temporary shelter in Victoria Square (Athens) .

During this critical period of expansion of migration, the Hellenic Red Cross is escalating its response and implementing a broad set of actions throughout the Greek territory in order to provide decent reception conditions to arriving refugees and migrants.
