Plaza Pessôa: The Plaza Ensemble sets the poetry of Fernando Pessoa to music. The Plaza Ensemble, accompanied by Elsa Mouratidou and the actor Tassos Papanastassiou, will perform a number of compositions, songs and improvisations, musically interwoven with poems and texts by the Portuguese poet Fernando Pessoa, presented in a combination of theatrical performance and audiovisual collage.
With the diverse poetic personalities of Pessoa as a starting point, the concert programme includes Portuguese fados, nuevo tango, cinematic compositions, Mediterranean music, music by Manos Hadjidakis, contemporary musical works and improvisation.
