Hellenic Red Cross and Clowns Without Borders provided moments of joy to child refugees at the port of Piraeus
On 21 March, Clowns Without Borders from Sweden, in collaboration with the Social Welfare Department of the Hellenic Red Cross, held a show for refugee children at the port of Piraeus (the gate E2).
The one-hour performance was dedicated to the young children temporarily staying with their families at the Piraeus Port Authority facilities.
Through interactive play, the Clowns Without Borders managed to communicate with children and adults in body language and music, initiating smiles and moments of relaxation in children who had to flee their homes due to violence.
Around 80 children and their parents participated in the event which was well received as it provided creative activities to those stranded.
