Hellenic Red Cross distributes extensive humanitarian aid at the Skaramagas accommodation center
On 12 May, Hellenic Red Cross staff and volunteers distributed humanitarian aid to the refugees at the accommodation centre in Skaramagas. Altogether, the HRC distributed 2880 hygiene kits, 2880 food parcels and 5760 bottles of water.
During the distribution, children were kept entertained by two groups of clowns from Red Noses International and Clowns without borders.
Red Cross daily activities at the centre also include a health care clinic staffed by medical professionals of the Hellenic and the Spanish Red Cross which offers basic health services and pediatric care. In addition, a social worker is present each day to provide psychosocial support to those in need.
