Hellenic Red Cross promotes good hygiene practices among migrant children at the accommodation center in Skaramagas
The Hellenic Red Cross (HRC), in cooperation with the Spanish Red Cross, began on 16 May implementing a hygiene promotion program among children and adults who temporarily reside at the accommodation center in Skaramagas.
The first workshop on waste collection was held among children under the age of 16. In cooperation with a Red Noses clown group, and volunteers from an NGO called "Movement on the Ground", Red Cross staff and volunteers shared the messages of personal care and cleanliness of the areas where they live and play. With the help of play and exercises the children and the Red Cross teams collected garbage from the camp areas.
These hygiene promotion activities will continue on in the coming days.
