Spanish Red Cross President visits Hellenic Red Cross headquarters
The President of the Spanish Red Cross, accompanied by the Head of International Relations and the Head of Emergencies, visited the Hellenic Red Cross (HRC) headquarters in Athens. The group was welcomed by the HRC President Dr. Antonios Avgerinos and the Head of the Social Welfare Department.
During the meeting, Dr. Avgerinos expressed his deep gratitude to the Spanish Red Cross for the valuable assistance it has provided to Greece and in particular to the Hellenic Red Cross throughout the migration crisis. The Spanish Red Cross President confirmed his full support and confidence in the Hellenic Red Cross.
Dr. Avgerinos was also invited to visit the Spanish Red Cross so that the two National Societies could explore the possibility of further cooperation in other areas such as in social integration and support of vulnerable groups.
