Hellenic Red Cross rescuers on Lesvos receive lifeguard boat as donation
On 3 June, a member organization of International Maritime Rescue Federation, DLRG, supporting the rescue of migrants donated an inflatable rescue boat to the Hellenic Red Cross (HRC) Samaritans Department.
Hellenic Red Cross rescuers were specifically selected as recipients of the donation at the recommendation of the President of the International Lifesaving Federation of Europe in recognition of the important work the HRC teams have been carrying out on the island of Lesvos.
The HRC rescuers and lifeguards wish to express their sincere gratitude for the donation and for the support received by Central Port of Mytilene during their activities.
