Celebrations Old town of Xanthi

Celebrations of the Old Town of Xanthi attracts thousands of visitors.

The Old Town Festival of Xanthi is the second largest institution in Xanthi after Thracian Folk Festivals. It was first organized in 1991 and since then take place continuously every year the first week of September.

The name was taken on the ground that the majority of these events takes place in the traditional preserved settlement of Xanthi, the so-called "Old Town", the streets of which the joints of cultural and carnival clubs to offer food and drink.
