Changing the guard outside Buckingham Palace is a very popular ceremony that takes place on certain days at 11 am. The guard that looks after Buckingham Palace is called The Queen’s Guard and is made up of soldiers on active duty from the Household Division. During the ceremony the Queen’s Guard hands over responsibilities for protecting the palace to the new guard that arrives.
