Strategic partnership of Technopolis Thessaloniki with the European organization CERN
Α press conference was held on Tuesday, February 17th, at 13.00 pm, at the hotel "Electra Palace" about the strategic partnership of Technopolis Thessaloniki with the European organization CERN, based in Geneva, Switzerland.
Speakers at the press conference will be the chairman of Technopolis Thessaloniki Tasos Tzikas, the Deputy Head of International Relations at CERN Manolis Tsesmelis (via videoconference) and Director of CERN Technology Transfer, Nikos Ziogas.
The agreement between Technopolis and CERN provides the creation of the Technopolis facilities in Pilea for companies from Greece and the Balkans, which will exploit the technologies of CERN, which are free to create products and services appropriate for the market . In this way, apart from the transfer of technology and know-how from CERN to Technopolis, business opportunities and innovative products will be created.
Apostolis Tzitzikostas was also present at the press conference, as the role of the Region of Macedonia is crucial for the development of new technologies.
