The articles contained in this book,selected by the author and covering approximately thirty years(1983-2013) of an intellectual and aesthetic adventure, chartacinematic geography in which, through a unifying gesture and without nostalgic to and fros, an assessment is made of classic auteurs (Dreyer, Bresson, Tarkovsky, Ozu, etal.), as well as of more recent, mainly European ones, of the past few decades (Kieslowski, Wenders, Skolimowski, Kaurismaki, Mike Lee, the Dardenne brothers, Bela Tarr, Sokurov, Haneke, Loznitsa, et al.), with a special preference for the Italian school. The essays that comprise this book have appeared in Thessaloniki International Film Festival publications (most of them), as well as in film and literary journals (Synhronos Kinimatografos, Othoni, Entefktirio, To dentro,etc.).
